Imeretian saffron from Georgia: a unique Georgian spice made from dried marigold (Tagetes) petals. It gives dishes a warm, floral, slightly earthy flavour and a beautiful golden colour. Good in rice and plov, soups and stews, vegetable and legume dishes, sauces, marinades and stewed meat, and even in baking for light floral notes. It is not true crocus saffron.
